NAHANT -- April 7, 2026, Nahant School Committee approves five-year Swampscott tuition deal and cuts meeting schedule. The committee unanimously approved a new educational services agreement with Swampscott Middle and High School setting annual tuition at $3.25 million for each of the first four years and $3.75 million in the fifth year, up from a flat $2.5 million under the expiring contract. The committee also voted unanimously to restructure its 2026-2027 calendar to a once-monthly default schedule, retaining two meetings only in November and December for budget season, and moved its regular start time from 7 p.m. to 6 p.m., citing recruitment difficulties and a desire for greater community engagement.
